TERRI LEUNG

Typographic installation inspired by Gilbert and George's Ten Commandments. I chose to work with the first commandment, which is 'Thou Shalt Fight Conformism'. This is made out of laser cutted thin plywood. The shape and text is written by hand.

This was inspired by the fluid state of water and waterfalls as it can conform to any shape surrounding it. However, water can also reshape its surrounding, I think this is very powerful and represents fighting conformism. Therefore created an installation that mimics a waterfall with their statement engraved into the surface.
